MARTIN ROGERS

Co - Founder

Martin Rogers has been a fixture within the Select basketball community for over 20 years. Martin’s had the honor to personally Coach, Guide or Instruct 100’s of College athletes from the Greater Houston area, including some fortunate to make it to the professional ranks. According to Mr. Rogers “I got involved with Coaching because of my love for the game and help neighborhood kids stay out of trouble,…and eventually Coach my son’s at some point…” According to Mr. Rogers, “Ballout Events is an extension of his commitment to play a part in helping kids adopt the same love for the game…and also use this wonderful platform to instill individual disciplines that that transcend the game itself such as commitment, teamwork, trust, patience, etc…”

MARCUS SLOAN

Co - Founder

Marcus Sloan, a graduate of Eisenhower High School in Houston and Texas Christian University, where he was a 4-year letterman for the Horned Frogs. After attaining a B.A. in Communications and his M.A. in Liberal Arts,. He then went abroad and began his professional basketball career in Europe. He spent his 1st season playing in Germany, 5 seasons in Switzerland & his last season in France. He is also the founder of Shoot2Score Hoops, a non profit organization that helps kids use basketball as a vehicle to better their lives.

Our Mission

Ballout Events MISSION is to create a safe, fair and competitive platform for youth of all ages to compete in the game of basketball regardless of gender, nationality and socioeconomic standing.

Our Goal

Ballout Events goal is to impact the communities in which it serves with positive athletic platforms that not only highlights team competition and individual performance, but also partner with host schools, local businesses, professional service providers and community health and wellness organizations closely connected to that community to create positive changes for all involved.
